Do I need to change my fire due to the new law in England from 1st May 2021?

No, you don't need to change your fire or stove due to the new law effective from 1st May 2021. Here are the key changes: House coal can be delivered by Approved Coal Merchants until April 2023, but from 1st May 2021, it must be pre-packed and delivered to your home. Only authorised smokeless fuels will be available, displaying the Ready to Burn logo. Wood logs sold in small quantities must have a moisture content of less than 20% and display the Woodsure Ready to Burn logo. Anthracite remains unchanged as it is naturally smokeless.
